China should not 'overreact' to Taiwan president's US stopover


The US has warned China not to "overreact" to a US stopover this week by Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen. Two senior officials of the US government urged a "level of calm" and queried why China would use a scheduled visit as a "pretext for further coercion directed at Taiwan" while speaking to the press on the condition of anonymity.
