A federal appeals court in New Orleans has preserved access to the abortion drug, Mifepristone, but under tighter rules which allow the drug to be dispensed only up to seven weeks, not 10, and not by mail. The drug was approved by the Food and Drug Administration over two decades ago and is used in combination with Misoprostol.
