Former US President Donald Trump has criticised Washington DC as a "filthy and crime-ridden embarrassment", requesting a change of venue for his upcoming federal trial on conspiracy and obstruction charges. Trump is seeking to find a more politically-friendly location and believes it would be difficult to find an impartial jury in the capital city.
