Ex-officer who fatally shot Breonna Taylor hired as a deputy

Myles Cosgrove, a former Louisville police officer who was fired for violating use-of-force procedures and failure to use a body camera during the raid on Breonna Taylor's apartment, has been hired by the Carroll County Sheriff's Office. Cosgrove was among the three white officers who fired into Taylor's home in March 2020 killing the Black woman. Carroll County's chief deputy pointed out that none of the officers were charged by the grand jury for Taylor's death.
