Flash Flooding in West Virginia Prompts Dozens of Rescues


On Monday morning, West Virginia experienced flash floods and heavy rain. Residents were told to seek higher ground as water rescues and evacuations were necessary. The Upper Kanawha Valley region near Charleston received between 3 and 6 inches of rain during the course of five hours, with radar picking up more than 8 inches of rain in some places.
