Indigenous protesters free 17 kidnapped Colombian soldiers


A group of Indigenous protesters in Colombia have released 17 soldiers who they had taken hostage in retaliation for a failed attempt to arrest a member of their community. The Indigenous community of Toribio in the Cauca department accused authorities of maltreating the man, who was wanted for homicide and illegal firearm fabrication after he was injured while trying to escape.
