Risk of severe storms persists from Texas to Great Lakes

Severe thunderstorms expected to bring hail, strong winds and the threat of tornadoes targeted the Midwest and South. At least two tornadoes hit Illinois, with southern Missouri, Arkansas, southwestern Oklahoma, and northeastern Texas most at risk overnight. The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado near Bryant, Illinois, and warned of more severe storms across several Midwestern and Mid-South states.
