UPS workers approve 5-year contract, capping contentious negotiations that threatened deliveries

The Teamsters union representing UPS workers has announced that its members have voted to approve the tentative contract agreement reached last month. The national contract was ratified by 86% of the votes cast, making it the highest vote for a contract in the history of the Teamsters at UPS. The agreement includes improved pay and benefits for workers, as well as changes to holiday policies and safety issues. The contract will go into effect once all supplemental agreements, except for one in Florida, are renegotiated and ratified.
