US adds a strong 253,000 jobs despite Fed's rate hikes

US employers added 253,000 jobs in April, while unemployment lowered to 3.4%, the lowest rate in 54 years. Job opportunities in the US economy are considered high and layoff occurrences are still relatively low. Despite the Federal Reserve raising interest rates in light of high inflation rates, the job market has been durable and solid.
