The US has approved the $285m sale of a NASAMS air defence system and related equipment to Ukraine to enhance the country's ability to defend against Russian missile strikes and aircraft. The move supports US foreign policy national security goals while improving the security of a partner country that acts as a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe.
