The United States has expressed its support for an international tribunal to prosecute Russia for "aggression" against Ukraine after the European Union backed the initiative. The court could bring fresh charges against President Vladimir Putin and would be the latest legal response to his alleged war crimes, following the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant against him.
