US, Japan to mark friendship with cherry tree at White House


First lady Jill Biden and Yuko Kishida, spouse of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, planted a Yoshino cherry tree on the White House grounds in Washington D.C. to commemorate decades of Japan-US friendship. Kishida is on a solo visit to the US, participating in activities promoting cultural exchanges and friendship between the two countries.
