US reaches $144.5 mln settlement with Texas church shooting victims

The US Department of Justice settled with survivors and victims' families regarding the 2017 Texas church shooting, for which the Air Force is primarily responsible. The settlement, which exceeds $144.5 million, requires approval from a US District Judge. This would end the government's move to pay $230 million after November 5, 2017, shooting by ex-Airman Devin Patrick Kelly.
