World Bank's Malpass says Russia's detention of WSJ reporter is 'brazen act'


The detention of Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich by Russia is a violation of the freedom of press and the safety of journalists, according to World Bank President David Malpass. Last week, Russian investigators charged Gershkovich with espionage, but he denies the accusation, insisting he was working as a journalist.
